After 20 years as country mice in the Florida Keys followed by 12 years as city mice in Las Vegas, Nancy and husband (of 57 years) Paul have returned to Florida to live once again as country mice in rural Palm Bay (not Palm Beach) in Brevard County. They live in a large mid-century cottage on a street with neither sidewalks nor streetlights (so you can see the stars at night). They have a big back yard surrounded by a six-foot wooden privacy fence along the top of which the local squirrels dance daily, a tidy back lanai lushly decorated by orchids, and a small walled front garden where Paul’s improvised wire gate prevents the neighborhood bunnies from nibbling Nancy’s peppers and arugula. Nancy finds the cottage a quiet and relaxed place to create her unique jewelry designs.
